The Bad Excuse - a short biography
The Bad Excuse gathered together first time in autumn 2000. Members still in band, from beginning until today, are bassplayer Mike Murdoc and drummer Mickey Speed. Main reason for starting a band was to "rock" and revolt against mainsteam-pop which was mainly played on radio that time.
As usually beginning was hard and frustrating. Finding a suitable members and learning to play as a band took much effort that day. Band trained and performed mostly hard rock and heavy covers from 70's and 80's. Guitarist William Lover joined band in year 2002.
Year 2004 was full of action (at least from our point of view). Just before the Wappu our first recording "First excuses" -demo was released. At autumn there was a big crisis when out another guitarist left the band. From that day on our band have had only one guitarist. Our first "tour" "No sleep 'till the Club" took place just after this crisis but was success with special quest guitarist "Naapurin Ville".
Band activity got even higher levels in the year 2005. New material popped up on more regular basis. Style of the band had evolved and new heavier but melodic sound seemed to fit TBE perfectly. Now on band had been able to perform gigs playing almost only own material so cover songs had been finally pushed aside. At November 2005 band recorded it's second demo "Moderator" in which we are much more satisfied than the first demo. That's no surprice but there's still long way to the top if you wanna rock'n'roll...
